Innovative Funding For Reach Out and Read in North Carolina

The state of North Carolina has partnered with Reach Out and Read in North Carolina to expand access to early health and literacy development. This  innovative public funding approach will impact all North Carolina children by extending ROR to begin at birth, expand ROR to all counties in the state, maintain focus on strong program quality, support the training and engagement of our medical providers, and drive new research and innovations.

Learn more from the Reach Out and Read’s podcast featuring Dr. Mandy Cohen, Secretary of the North Carolina Dept. of Health and Human Services and Duke University School of Medicine, Dr. Elizabeth Erickson sharing with us how North Carolina was able to use federal Health Services funding to expand early literacy programming for all NC children.
